Live Oak Theatre Offers Program: Introduction to Acting

The Live Oak Theatre Company announces that it will offer a program in Introduction to Acting. The program will consist of four one-hour classes, held from 4 to 5 pm on Mondays, August 30, September 13, 20 & 27. The program will be held at the Carol and Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, FL 34601.

Topics covered will be:

  • Basic acting skills and principles of acting

  • Theatre terminology

  • Theatre etiquette and most important,

  • Using humor

  • Memorizing and delivering monologs, and more.

Children seven years through 18 are eligible. The class is taught by Vince Vanni.

Vince Vanni is vice-president and co-founder of Live Oak Theatre. He has been teaching the performing arts in Hernando County for over 25 years. In fact, some of his students are children of his former students.

In New York he was involved in creating, directing, and producing training programs and children's programs for a major publishing firm. Since settling in Florida in 1980, he has performed in several critically acclaimed productions, including Fiddler on the Roof at Stage West, The Show Palace, and Live Oak Theatre. He is the recipient of the very first Stage West HAMI for best actor… for his portrayal of “Tevye” in Fiddler. Vince now owns his own marketing agency and teaches acting and public speaking.

Mr. Vanni’s students currently appear throughout the area in both amateur and professional venues.
