Live Oak Conservatory’s Mondays Offer Students TWO Special Classes on Acting

Beginning January 10, 2022, Live Oak Conservatory will again offer students, ages eight to 18 two fun classes in Acting.

Acting From Advanced to Beginner with Vince Vanni will allow students to explore a wide range of creative ways to improve their acting skills. The class will involve scene study, characterization, line interpretation, developing accents, directing, leadership, public speaking skills, and much more. Through a variety of fun projects and exercises, those who wish to learn to direct, or even create scenes, will be able to earn the opportunity. Class is held from 4:00 to 5:00pm. Acting students on all levels will be challenged.

The class will be immediately followed by…

Improv with Esprit Herbert will enable students to learn the art of improvisation both in speech and movement. They will learn to think on their feet, to become confident in their actions and to go with the flow because in improv, anything can happen. Class is held from 5:00 to 6:00pm

Vince Vanni is vice-president and co-founder of Live Oak Theatre. He has been teaching the performing arts in Hernando County for over 30 years. In fact, some of his students are children of his former students. In New York he was involved in creating, directing, and producing training programs and children's programs for a major publishing firm. Since settling in Florida in 1980, he has performed in several critically acclaimed productions, including Fiddler on the Roof at Stage West, The Show Palace, and Live Oak Theatre. He is the recipient of the very first Stage West HAMI for best actor… for his portrayal of “Tevye” in Fiddler. Vince now owns his own marketing agency and teaches acting and public speaking.

Esprit Herbert has grown up in Brooksville and has been connected with Live Oak Theatre since 2014. At 8 years of age, her father taught Improv and acting classes, and Esprit immediately fell in love with the humor, and fast-paced excitement of improv theatre. At 17 years old she put on her first Improv show as a fundraiser at her church and continued to do so for years. Now at 26 years old, she is in her 3rd year of teaching classes at Live Oak.
