Live Oak Theatre Announces Dates for Its Summer Camp Programs
LOT to Hold a Wide Range of Programs Throughout the Summer
Live Oak Theatre asks the public to “save these dates.” A variety of limited enrollment summer camps will be held throughout the summer. Save the following dates:
June 22 – June 26 – Introduction to Musical Theatre for boys and girls ages 7 through 18. Limited enrollment from 10 am to 2 pm. This program is LOT’s standard introduction to musical theatre summer camp, which it holds every year for children.
July 6 – July 10 – Dance Workshop - from 10 am to 2 pm; age levels to be determined. Improvisation Camp – from 4 pm to 8 pm; ages yet to be determined.
July 13 – July 24 – boys and girls ages 8 to 18 are invited to participate in Live Oak Theatre’s “Peter Pan Production Camp.” Younger children will be considered if they have successfully completed the introduction to musical theatre camp held in June. This program will conclude with a performance for family on July 24.
July 27 – August 7 – another production camp will be held. The theme is yet to be determined.
Due to the covid-19 crisis, the management of Live Oak Theatre has been forced to reconsider many of its policies. Camp tuition has been reduced to $75 per week for most camps, $200 for the two week production camps. However, we regret that no scholarships are currently available. Scholarship sponsors for families affected by covid-19 are certainly welcome.
The camps will utilize all available space within the Center for the Arts – both inside and outside. Groups will be limited to only eight or nine campers and each camp will have limited enrollment opportunities, due to adherence to social distancing guidelines.
More information will be available shortly. To place your name on the invitation list to pre-register for any of the camps, email LiveOakCamp@Gmail.com. To stay updated with current information about Live Oak’s camp and season, go to Facebook.com/LiveOakTheatre.
