Live Oak Theatre to Offer Zumba Classes

Live Oak Theatre is pleased to announce that in response to many requests, its 2019 Conservatory season will now offer a Zumba class on Monday morning from 10 to 11 am, beginning January 7. The class will be conducted by Soni Beaumont, a certified Zumba instructor.

Zumba, a fitness program that incorporates interval training – alternating fast and slow rhythms – and resistance training, is what certified instructor Soni Beaumont credits for giving back her joy of living. After surgery for a broken neck, with resulting side effects that made her lethargic and depressed, and lack of feeling in her hands, her husband gave her a gym membership that offered Zumba classes. She was hooked after her first class! After six months she was 40 pounds lighter and graceful as a gazelle.

Soni Beaumont, a native of Ohio, wanted to help other people – of all ages – to better health – and completed training for her certification as a Zumba instructor.

All Live Oak Conservatory classes are conducted at the Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida. Tuition is $40 per month or $10 per class. Upon registering for the class for the first time there is also a $35 individual or $50 family registration fee.
