Open Auditions for 2018-2019 Season
Live Oak Theatre announces that open auditions for its 2018-2019 season will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, August 21 & 23, from 5 pm until 8 pm at its new Center for the Performing Arts, 21030 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, FL 34601.
Auditions for all season productions will be held at that time. Those who audition should prepare 16 bars from a song that shows their strengths and vocal range. A less than two minute monologue will be welcome, but is not required. Cold readings will only be used for call backs.
Children, young adults and their parents who have no prior experience with Live Oak Theatre should have completed Live Oak Theatre’s orientation program. The program consists of two, one and a half hour classes held from 6:30 to 8 pm on August 14 and August 16. (Tuesday and Thursday) at the new center. Both sessions are required to audition.

MEMBERS OF LIVE OAK THEATRE WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN LAST YEAR’S PRODUCTIONS NEED NOT ATTEND OPEN AUDITIONS. Simply indicate your interest in participating in this year’s production.
Those children who attended this year’s performing arts camp have already auditioned at camp and Live Oak Theatre already has their audition applications.
All principal roles for the 2018-2019 season will be cast from these auditions. Members of Live Oak Theatre who wish to be considered for callbacks should contact liveoakstagemanager@gmail.com.
Live Oak season consists of three productions:
Fall production – the hit musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoatwill be presented weekends, November 2 through 18.
December’s Christmas celebration of the radio play, It’s a Wonderful Life, will be performed one weekend in early December.
Spring production – the musical classic, Godspell, will be presented weekends, March 29 through April 14.
