Tickets are now on sale for Oliver! Junior

Oliver! Junior is the Acorn Theatre adaption of the classic novel and award winning musical which springs life some of the most memorable characters in songs to ever grace the stage. Oliver! Junior is full of classical songs such as Consider Yourself at Home, Food, Glorious Food, and Oom-Pah-Pah.

I have been personally observing all the rehearsals and I have never been so impressed with a cast of kids in all the years that I have been involved with family theater. This show is the product of the 12+ years that Live Oak Theatre has been in existence. Under the watchful eye of this septuagenarian, Oliver! Junior is directed and choreographed by one of our own 17-year-old students who has grown up on the Live Oak stage. The assistant director/choreographer is another 16-year-old Live Oak student and it’s stage managed by a group of teenagers who have made this project their very own.

By contract with the licensing company no member of the cast can be older than 18 years of age. In fact, our youngest members are 7. Because this is their very own they have poured their hearts into this production, and it is without a doubt one of the most entertaining junior shows that you will see anywhere in the Tampa Bay area. You really don’t want to miss it. If you have grandchildren, this is an excellent date show.

Advance seats are only $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 13 and under when accompanied by an adult. Friday and Saturday evening shows are at 7:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 2:30 pm. Tickets are the door are increased to $20 for adults and $10 for children with an accompanying adult. Advanced prices are available up to approximately 24 hours before each performance.
