Jessica Giarratana has 19 years of teaching experience and is the founder and owner of Redeemed Talent Music Studio. Her desire is to share the love of music with others.
She loves the J.S. Bach quote, “The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.”
Jessica enjoys transcending the same passion for her love of music to others. In every lesson she incorporates music theory, technique, ear training, and music history. A unique aspect of Jessica teaching is her composition abilities. She encourages performance opportunities but it is not required. She assesses each student and looks for their one of a kind learning abilities in order to meet their individual needs. Jessica is a Christian and uses scripture to encourage confidence in her students.
A little about Jessica’s musical background. She studied under a Brooksville music staple, Laurie Fitch. Her teacher allowed her creative juices to flow and she began composing her own original music. It wasn’t long after her first lesson that she can recall taking her keyboard outside as a summer storm rolled in, and composing her first piece of music.
She will receive her degree in baccalaureate studies at Saint Leo University in May 2019 and will continue her education to become a licensed music therapist.
She has a seven year tenure at Live Oak Theatre Company. She has served in the positions of music director and co-music director, and composed and co-written music for the productions of
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe from C.S. Lewis Chronicles Of Narnia and Peter Pan. She has also served as assistant teacher at the Live Oak Theatre summer camps.
She is serving in her second year at Hernando Christian Academy in music education for Elementary and Secondary education.
