Live Oak Theatre will hold a preview weekend celebration to introduce the public to its new Center for the Arts located at 21030 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34601. All proceeds from the preview will go toward the scholarship fund for the Live Oak Conservatory, which provides classes in the arts, such as dance, choir and acting.
A preview of its 2018-2019 season will be held on Friday evening, September 21 at 7:30 pm and again on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm in its grand ballroom. The preview will feature various numbers from its upcoming productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coatand Godspell as well as featured performances from past seasons, which helped it to gain its reputation and following, enabling them to obtain their own Center for the Arts. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 13 and under when purchased with an adult ticket. As always, dessert and beverage are included.
The weekend will also feature a Harvest Moon Ball on Saturday evening, September 22 from 6:30 pm to 10 pm where DJ Angelo Rifino will play uninterrupted ballroom music. Live Oak Theatre’s grand ballroom is reported to be the only all wood ballroom in Hernando County. Tickets are also $15.
