About Around the World in 80 Days
The show has been written and co-directed by Live Oak Artistic Director Randi Olsen, and features an incredible cast of 55 actors to tell the story of Jules Verne’s classic story of Phileas Fogg, who takes on a challenge by the other men at the Reform Club to travel the world in 80 days. Ron Dykes, who plays the role of Verne, is also co-director and co-writer.

The audience will join Phileas (Kyle Marra) and his faithful servant, Passepartout (Terry Edwards), on their global adventure against time, traveling by train, boat, balloon – and even by elephant – to destinations such as London, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and the American West. They meet many unforgettable characters along the way, including an enchanting Princess from India (Esprit Tafelski), the unscrupulous Detective Fix from Scotland Yard (Matthew Veasey), a British general (Eric Kessel), a surly boat captain (Sean Sanborn), a conniving politician (Sam McCall), a gaggle of Geishas and Bombay dancers.

Will Phileas Fogg make it back by his 80-day deadline? Be sure to buy tickets to the show and find out!
